Trip Amplifiers

Trip amplifiers change state when the process signal which is being monitored passes one or more adjustable set points, for high or low alarm conditions.

Output is via voltage-free relay contacts, so that the process is unaffected by the unit’s operation.

We offer an extensive range of analogue process trip amplifiers capable of monitoring all of the standard process signal inputs. Some of the trip amplifiers have a built in transmitter power supply whilst some are for use within existing process loops. Options on a number of the instruments include an upscale drive on loss of input.

When linked to the relevant sensor, typical applications for trip amplifiers include tank level control, flow rate control, temperature or acidity control.
